How do I enter fullscreen mode?
Open the toolbar menu (⋯) on desktop and choose Fullscreen, or press F11. NotePal hides the sidebar for a distraction-free canvas.
Can local notes be lost?
Yes. Local notes live in your browser. Clearing site data, history, or reinstalling the browser can delete them permanently. Sign in and enable cloud sync to protect important work.
How do I move local notes to the cloud?
Sign in and use the upload prompt or local notes manager to send selected notes to your account. After sync, they are available on all your devices.
Which export formats are supported?
Open the toolbar menu and choose Export to copy plain text or download the current note as PDF, DOC, or TXT.
How do tags work?
Open a note’s tag panel to add labels, apply existing tags, or manage all tags from one place. Use the sidebar filter to view notes by tag.
How do I share a note?
Open Share from the toolbar menu, turn on public access, optionally set a password and expiry, then copy the link or QR code.
How do I turn off ads?
Ads help cover our server, development, and operating costs so NotePal can stay free forever. While signed in, purchasing an Image Storage plan removes ads for you.
